Dr. Karen D. Lomax is the Founder and President of Karen Lomax Ministries, KAIROS Editing & Publishing, LLC, H.E.R.R.S. LLC Professional Life Coaching and H.IS. outreach ministry. In May 2018, Dr. Lomax founded and launched the H.E.R.R.S. Life Coaching Academy to provide training and mentorship for other professional life coaches. She is dedicated to reconciling the loss back to God through her unique style of preaching, teaching, and mentoring.
Dr. Lomax is an honor graduate of Columbia College of Missouri where she received an A.A in General Studies, an A.S. in Criminal Justice, a B.A. in Psychology, and a B.S. in Criminal Justice. She is also an honor graduate of Liberty University, where she obtained her M. Div. for the Chaplaincy, her M.A. for Pastoral Counseling - Life Coaching, and her M.S. in Criminal Justice. She has four life coaching credentials in Finances, Health & Wellness, Marriage, and Business. She is also a Certified SYMBIS Assessment Facilitator and Trainer. Dr. Lomax received her Doctorate of Humanities in October 2018 from Elbon Solutions College of Ministry for her outstanding efforts in global outreach. In June 2020, Dr. Lomax received her credential as a Board Certified Master Christian Life Coach and her Certified Christian Mental Health Coach in September 2020 from the International Board of Christian Care
Dr. Lomax serves her community as a member of the Assistance League of North Coast and a volunteer at Dynamic Church Planters International in Oceanside, CA. She is a veteran of the United States Army and currently serves as the Command Chaplain for the 416th Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Battalion (Airborne) in San Diego, CA. In June of 2017, Dr. Lomax was certified as a Humanitarian Joint Operations Coordinator for USAID for the San Diego region. She is one of the first African-American female chaplains commissioned by President Barack Obama during his last term in office. She is the only African-American chaplain (male or female) that has served as the Battalion Chaplain for the 416th, and is currently, the only African-American female officer within the 416th. While most people read about black history, she IS black history. Her focus is to be a beacon of light in a setting that can often seem dark, lonely, and cruel.
Dr. Lomax was nominated as the San Diego Region Global Goodwill Ambassador in March 2018. On April 10, 2021, Dr. Lomax was sworn in as a Diplomatic Missions Ambassador with the Federation of International Gender and Human Rights. She is the Advisory Council Lead representing the United States. In addition, she is the Chaplain, Chief Spiritual Advisor, and sits on the board of directors for Healing Hearts Angels Outreach Ministry in St. Louis Missouri. This gives her the opportunity to positively influence a group of young ladies who are seeking to be part of something bigger than themselves and make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate.

In addition, Dr. Lomax has 2 Ebooks, "Rediscovering You By Discovering Your Purpose" and "Happiness 101: How To Bring More Joy Into Your Life." She also has a workbook, "Love Yourself" that is available for purchase for retreats, coaching seminars, and women's groups. Currently, Dr. Lomax is working on four writing projects due to be released in 2021. Her various literary skills and knowledge has made Dr. Lomax one of the most sought after Christian Coaches, motivational speakers and mentors, globally. Dr. Lomax is the proud mother of two children and currently serves as the Associate Pastor for Atmosphere of Faith Christian Church under the leadership of General Overseer Larry Sauls, Jr and Lady Elizabeth Sauls. Dr. Lomax believes the most effective leader is the one who knows how to follow and work well with others. When life gets difficult, she finds comfort in her favorite Scripture, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end” (Jeremiah 29:11).
